ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Mark Henderson, 47, died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, in Albuquerque, N.M., where he has resided for the past several years. Born on Oct. 22, 1961, in Beeville, Texas, he was the son of Billy Ray and Joan (Haberland) Henderson of Albuquerque, N.M., and the beloved father of Nicholas M. Henderson, his greatest joy, of Norton, and formerly of North Attleboro. Mark grew up and was educated in Bellingham, graduating in the Class of 1980. He was a talented waterproofer, who worked for Local 3 Boston Bricklayers Union for many years. He worked on many projects in Boston, including the "Big Dig," before moving to New Mexico to be closer to his beloved Uncle Dickie. Mark also resided in Roslindale for many years. Mark was a sports enthusiast who not only enjoyed watching New England teams but also participating in many sports. Mark, Nick and Uncle Dickie spent numerous hours bowling, skiing, golfing and many other activities. He enjoyed watching Nick's baseball and football games and very rarely missed a game, even when having to travel three and four times a week from Roslindale to North Attleboro to do so. He also taught Nick to ski at a very young age and enjoyed numerous weekends in New Hampshire and Vermont. In addition to his parents and son, Mark leaves his sister, Corey Lamoreaux and her husband, Mark, of Bellingham; his sister, Maureen Labelle and her husband, Ron, of New Hampshire; his brother, William Henderson and his wife, Susan, of Illinois; and his brother, James Henderson of Bellingham. Mark is also survived by his dear uncle, Richard "Uncle Dickie," Haberland of Illinois. He was the former husband of Barbara (Forestal) Devine. He also leaves his nephews and nieces, Casey, Luke, Dylan, Savannah and Sydney. He was the cherished grandson of the late Agnes "Aggie" Haberland, with whom he resided for many years. A funeral service will be held Thursday evening, at 7:30, at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 South Main St. (Rte. 126), Bellingham, Mass. Calling time is 5 to 7:30 p.m., prior to the service. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
