Marjorie Vandivere Anderson, 83, of Dawsonville died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.Born July 24, 1926, to the late Worth and Ethel Vandivere, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Rogers, Eufula "Vandy" Williams, Sadie Houston and Kathleen Reece; and brother, J.W. Vandivere.Surviving are her husband of 62 years, J.B. Anderson, Dawsonville; children, Curtis and Carolyn Anderson, Gainesville, and Karen and Harold McCord, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brooke and Carie Anderson, Whitney Anderson and Nathan and Jessica McCord; and great-grandchildren, Grace Anderson and Samuel Anderson.Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Leonard W. Ridings, the Rev. Johnny Eubanks and the Rev. Bobby Whitmire will officiate.
