Marjorie Van Horn Lee HAMPSTEAD, NC - Marjorie Van Horn Lee, 83, of Hampstead, NC, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Woodbury Wellness in North Carolina. Marjorie was born on Sept. 29, 1929, in Trenton, NJ, to the late George Van Horn and Phyllis Trexler Van Horn. She was a member of Topsail Presbyterian Church, North Carolina, where she was a prior member of the choir. She sang in church choirs from the age of four. She retired from Education Testing Services in Princeton, NJ, where she worked in candidate relations. Marjorie was also an active volunteer at Cape Fear Hospital in North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Van Horn, and a sister, Bernice Caldwell. Survivors include her husband, Richard A. Lee Sr.; sons, Richard A. Lee Jr. and wife, Susan, of Granville, VT; William D. Lee and wife, Diane, of Florence, NJ, and Mark J. Lee and wife, Michele, of Trenton, NJ; grandsons, Daniel, Michael and wife, Katie, Stephen, Christopher, Sean, and Scott; great-granddaughters, Addison and Rebecca, and a sister, Ethel V. Young. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Topsail Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Owen Carriker officiating.
