CHERRY HILL, N.J. Marjorie Redus McDonald, age 97, of Cherry Hill, N.J., formerly of Reform, died June 10, 2009. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Reform First United Methodist Church with Rev. Susie Knedlik officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Curry McDonald; her parents; her sisters, Mrs. Robbie Howington of Century, Fla., Mrs. Irma Adair of Montgomery, Ala., and Mrs. Elizabeth Trow of Hapeville, Ga.; and her brother, Edward Redus of Orlando, Fla.Survivors include her daughter, Janet Riddle and husband, Michael of Cherry Hill, N.J.; her grandson, Richard Riddle (Keeley McDonald) of Landing, N.J.; her great-granddaughter, Hayley Riddle of Landing, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. McDonald was born November 24, 1911, in Oakman, Alabama to the late Rev. Edward B. Redus, Minister of the Methodist Church in Oakman and Della Marchbanks Redus. She graduated from Jones Valley High School and Birmingham Southern College. Marjorie was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church of Reform where she participated fully in the church services and activities, taught school at Pickens County High School and worked for the State of Alabama as a social worker in Carrollton.Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was raised in a loving Christian family and lived her life according to the principles she learned as a child. She will be missed.
