Quincy Marjorie Mattie White, 77, of Quincy, passed away at Quincy Medical Center on April 21, 2008. She was born on March 12, 1931 in Rockville Centre, NY. Marjorie was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was raised and educated in Flushing, NY, and worked for many years for Equitable Life Assurance Co in New York City. She later moved to Suffern, NY where she worked as a health care assistant. She has been a resident of Quincy, MA since 1992. Marjorie will be remembered for her fun loving disposition, giving nature and kind spirit. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Arthur W. and Ada J. [Mattie] White and brother Arthur W. Jr. She is survived by her beloved brother Ralph H. White of Marco Island, FL, sister Eleanor Carlson, eight nieces and nephews and sixteen great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, April 28, at St. Joseph Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy. Entombment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
