Obituary of Marjorie Mitchell

(nee Mitchell). Peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2003, in her eighty-seventh year, at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga. Beloved wife of the late Ernie and loving mother of Judy Abel, of Calgary; and Sue Baker, of Richmond Hill. Marj will especially be missed by her grandchildren Tara, Mark and Ryan; and her great-grandchildren Billy, Sasha, Josh and Jacob. She will also be remembered by John Baker, Art Zelmer and Steve Rosen. Special thanks to her personal loving caregivers, Dolores, Audrey and Evelyn and the wonderful staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Mississauga. Marj married Ernie in Montreal in 1942 after graduating from McGill University in 1938 and working as a dietician at the Montreal General Hospital. She was the first female allowed to retain her headship position after marriage. We will all miss your wonderful touch on the piano, love of music and winning smile. Peace is now yours. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville on Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. with an interment to follow at St. Jude's Cemetery, Oakville.
