DOVER-FOXCROFT - Marjorie M. Smith, 94, wife of the late Liston W. Smith, died Sept. 20, 2010, at a local nursing home. She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in East Dover, the daughter of Ora G. and Clara (Hanson) Murch. Marjorie was a past president of the Cosmopolitan Club, Dover-Foxcroft, and a member of Eastern Star, where she had served as worthy matron many times. She organized Meals for ME, Dover-Foxcroft, for many years, was active in the chamber of commerce, and especially enjoyed participating in antique car clubs with her husband, Liston. Marjorie is survived by two children, Ken Smith and his wife, Jeannie, of Whiting and Sheila Schaaf and her husband, Robert, of Dover-Foxcroft; four grandchildren, Lori Sargent and her husband, Herb, Eric Schaaf, Michelle Schaaf and Anthony Schaaf and his wife, Dodie; five great-grandchildren, Savannah and James Sargent, Ricky and Tyson Thomas and Kira Schaaf; two sisters, Laura Pratt of Guilford and Irene Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister-in-law, Violet Murch of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered fondly by a large extended family and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Murch. Friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Dodie Sheffield officiating.
