Also by her husband of 63 years Robert Leedy Richard who died in 2003. He was the one great love of her life. Survived by her brother Donald R. (Joan) Smith of Palm Harbor, FL. Also by her children: daughter Carol (Gregory) Brown of Rochester, NY, daughter Barbara (Edwin) Rathke of Homosassa, FL and son Robert L. (Patricia) Richard II of Staunton, VA. Also survived by 5 grandchildren David (Sandy) Rathke of Spring Hill, FL, Melissa (Michael) Boyack of Rochester, Kathryn (Peter) Tilch of Passau, Germany, Timothy (Ashley) Brown of Quincy, MA and Bradley Richard of Bridgewater, VA. Mrs. Richard had 8 great-grandchildren Emma and Sarah Rathke, Casey and Patrick Boyack, Juliane, Alexandra and Rafael Tilch and Aiden Brown.Marjorie was an accomplished singer and pianist who passed on her love of performing music to her children and grandchildren. She was a professional singer and had her own radio show when she was a teenager in Clarksburg, WV. She sang with a dance band in the 1930s. She was a church musician for more than 15 years and also composed and arranged piano and choral music. She studied music at Mason College in Charleston, WV. She was a member of Asbury First United Methodist Church where she had many friends. The family would like to especially thank the staff at the Leo Center for Caring at St. Ann's as well as the staff at Linden Knoll Apartments.Her Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday 19th at 2PM at Asbury First United Methodist Church.
