Marjorie B. Johnson 1929 - 2013 EAST DORSET Marjorie B. Johnson, 83, a lifelong resident of East Dorset and a resident of Pleasant Street, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. Marjorie was born in East Dorset on Oct. 5, 1929, the daughter of James and Inez (Harris) Bebee. She attended school in East Dorset and graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary. Marjorie worked as a bookkeeper for many years for the Town of Dorset and was the Town Manager's assistant. Marjorie also volunteered at the Wilson House in East Dorset for many years. She was a very active member of the East Dorset Congregational Church, taking over as organist from her mother in 1984. Marjorie enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, gospel music and spending time with her family. Marjorie is survived by her children, Grant Johnson and his wife Paula, of Houston, Mo., and Ruth J. Olschewske and her husband, Martin, of Alton, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Matthew Nash and his wife, Nicole, Martha Gilmore and her husband, Brian, Shannon Hall and her husband, Justin, Orpha Pluegstra and her husband Chris, and Helen Johnson and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald G. Johnson, whom she married in East Dorset on July 11, 1947. Mr. Johnson died Aug. 1, 1991. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Marjorie will be Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the East Dorset Congregational Church. Interment will follow in the family lot in South Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at BREWSTER & SHEA FUNERAL SERVICE, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center.
