Marjorie Johnson, born in 1918, spouse of Archie Johnson, daughter of Abraham and Martha, died on January 16, 2006.
JOHNSON _ Marjorie August 11, 1918 - January 16, 2006 "Age shall not wither nor custom stale her infinite variety." Marjorie Johnson passed away peacefully at the age of 87 at her home in Vancouver. A remarkable woman, Marjorie deeply touched all the people she met. A Renaissance woman, she trod the path to excellence in whatever she did. When Marj died, it was the end of a gigantic life and a testament to the amount one woman can do. Artist, protector of people in need, horticulturalist, mother, professional potter, traveler, golfer, friend, confidant, wife and partner, pursuer of causes, pianist, amateur investor, creator of objets d'art, one husband, four children, 11 grandchildren. Most of all, funny and formidably smart. Family and friends will always remember her love of Savary Island and the seashore. In her later years she will be remembered for her grace and dignity in the face of adversity. She was predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Martha McCullough, sister Aileen Sutherland, brother, Robert McCullough and infant son, Richard Lewis Johnson. She reluctantly left her loving husband, Archie and their children and grandchildren - JENNIFER (Peter Crawford, Justine, Michael (Heather), Cole and Saje, and Eryn Price (Howard), Rouben; BRIAN (Sheila Patterson), Cassidy, Lewis, Isobel and Sally; MARIANA (Craig Fleck), and LEONARD (Diana), Alexandra, Taylor, Georgia and Grace.
