JOHNSON, Marjorie (Marj) B. Marjorie B. Johnson passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Marj is survived by sister, Emily Hamling of Bow Island, AB; sister-in-law, Effie Wibberley of Port Coquitlam, B.C.; nieces Janet Suley (Tom), Karen Yoos, Glenda Schatz (Dennis), Bonnie Campbell (Glenn), Lynn Christiansen (Dale), Leslie Wibberley-Arthur (Tim) and their families along with six godchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn and her mother and father. Marj retired in May 1989 after 34 years of service with the City of Calgary where she started as a Department Secretary, moved on to become a Juvenile Court Worker and ended her career being a Special Needs Transportation Consultant. Marj was an active member of the Norwegian and Swedish Lodges, a Honourary member of Swedish Branting Lodge, and initiated the Calgary Scandinavian Catering Group. She was President of their Ladies Auxiliary and Secretary of Branting Ladies Auxiliary for many years up until her passing. Marj was also an avid Bridge and Crib player. To honour Marj's wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.
