Marjorie J. Smith, 83, Ellenton, died Oct. 26, 2003. She was born June 11, 1920, in Holton, Kan., and came to Ellenton in 1972 from Shelby, Ohio. She owned the White House Restaurant and Smitty's Drive-In, both in Shelby. She was a member of Ellenton United Methodist Church. Survivors include a foster daughter, Joyce Argabrite of Ohio; a son, Warren of Bradenton; a sister, Lois E. Taylor of Kansas City, Kan.; brothers Donald D. Kaul of Marietta, Ga., and Kenneth D. Kaul of Lindale, Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kicliter Funeral Home, Palmetto. Inurnment will be at Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
