She was married to Stanley S. Peterson, M.D. who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents Charles and Hattie Rump; Brother William Rump; and son-in-law John Wallace Squibb. She is survived by her daughters Christine Squibb of Bois D'Arc, Mo.; Mary Elizabeth Powell and husband Rick of Manchester, MO; Brothers Richard of Fremont, NE and Robert of San Diego, Calif.; Sister-In-Law Eleanor Wiegel of Springfield, Ohio; Grandchildren: Wallace Squibb, Sr. and wife Amy of Ozark; Elizabeth Ann Squibb of Florissant, Mo.; Lee Thomas Squibb of Bois D'Arc, Mo.; and foster grandson Mark Vert and wife Suzanne of Branson, Mo.; Great Grandchildren: Wallace Jr. and Will Squibb, Jericole Hellems, Lynsey Stech and Lucas Vert as well as nieces and nephews and many good friends.Marjorie was a partner with her husband in many business hobbies and his medical practice and focused on family and care of aging family members and good friends. She was a member and past president of the Greene County Medical Society Alliance, past president of the Missouri State Medical Society Alliance, a Camp Fire Leader, member of Alpha Phi Fraternity, board member of the YWCA Board, American Cancer Board, Springfield PTA, member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, and Binnie Clements Guild. Her favorite times were the special events around the holidays that she had with family and friends.Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
