Funeral for Marjorie Earle Leake Stevenson Johnson, 75, of Athens will be today, April 22, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Tim Keenum and David Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas W. Stevenson; and a grandson, Jonathan Taylor. Survivors include her husband, Joe Johnson; two sons, Thomas M. Stevenson of Athens and Randy N. Stevenson of Camden, Ark.; two daughters, Beverly Montgomery of Elkmont and Connie Taylor of Athens; two stepsons, Stephen Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla., and William P. Johnson of Athens; one stepdaughter, Michelle Davis of Cartersville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Neil Montgomery, Justin Taylor, Will Stevenson and Paul Pawlikowski; two great grandchildren, Colin Montgomery and Courtney Montgomery; five stepgrandchildren, Brittany Harpest, Katlin Heath, Amanda Davis, Justin Johnson and Haley Johnson; and three sisters, Margaret Pressnell of Athens, Helen Berzett of Elkton, Tenn., and Carol Hampton of Athens. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and a great-grandson. Memorials may be made to the Athens-Limestone Kidney Association, 1710 Edward St., Athens, AL 35611.
