A celebration of life will be Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Lykins officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Roselawn Cemetery.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Nolia Compton; husband of 63 years, Guye Raymond Smith; and brothers, Robert L. Compton and James Leslie Compton.She was a lifelong member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith retired from the telephone company after 35 years of service.
