TUSCALOOSA Marjorie Alice Floyd Davis, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, died July 7, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Gordo First United Methodist Church with Dr. William C. “Bill” Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris Elmore; and her brothers, Frank, Charles M., and Claude Floyd, Jr.Survivors include her husband, Dr. Joe S. Davis of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her daughter, Diane Fleming (Joe) of Huntsville, Ala.; her sons, Jody Davis of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Wayne Davis (Melanie) of Daphne, Ala.; her sisters, Kathaleen May of Atlanta, Ga. and Sara Murphy of Aliceville, Ala.; her brothers, James Floyd of Gordo, Ala. and Merrill Floyd of Aliceville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Anna Flesch, Sam Fleming, Owen Davis, and Andrew Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney Flesch and Katie Flesch.Mrs. Davis was born August 28, 1920, in Gordo, Alabama to the late Claude W. Floyd, Sr. and Gladys Strickland Floyd. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa. Pallbearers will be Sam Fleming, Owen Davis, Andrew Davis, Tracy Flesch, John Floyd, Lewis Dean, Lewis Elmore, Charles Elmore, and Walter Dean, Jr.Honorary pallbearers are Billy Floyd, David Floyd, Clif Davis, Don Davis, and Tim Floyd.
