MARJORIE A. JOHNSON LIBERTY TOWNSHIP Marjorie A. Johnson, age 93, of Liberty Township passed away Monday, May 6, 2013. She was born on October 6, 1919 in Somers, WI, the daughter of Fred C. and Anna (Kluender) Gentz. Marjorie graduated from Valparaiso High School, class of 1938 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chesterton. On June 16, 1940 in Valparaiso, she married Elmer E. Johnson who survives along with their children: Patricia Ann (R. Daniel) Olson of Valparaiso, Philip E. (Sandra) Johnson of Valparaiso, Peggy (the late, Perry) Trowbridge of Valparaiso, and Bruce E. (Denise) Johnson of Chesterton; 10 grandchildren: Eric (Elaine) Olson, Tricia (Jay) Drew, Joanna (Ryan) Maas, Jane (Jeff) Detweiler, Jill (Brandon) Killion, Thomas Johnson, Jennifer (Nikos) Stathopoulos, Kelli Johnson, Katie Johnson, and Matthew Johnson; 23 great grandchildren; and sister, LaVerne Gustafson of Valparaiso. Preceded in death by her parents; a great grandchild; two sisters; and one brother. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with Rev. Larry Starett officiating.
