Marion Miller, born in 1917, spouse of Francis-E. Miller, daughter of Lynn and Bernice, mother of Ginny and Susan, died on February 3, 2006 at 88 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
QUEENSBURY Marion (King) Mame Miller, 88, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2006, at The Landing of Queensbury with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 20, 1917 in Chazy, N.Y. the daughter of the late Lynn and Bernice (Niles) King. Marion was a volunteer at Sunny View Rehab-Center in Schenectady where she was the recipient of many accommodations and awards. She was also the past president of the Mother's Club of Plattsburgh and a member of the Garden Club in Plattsburgh and Cobleskill; she was an avid bridge player. Marion was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending summers in North Truro, Mass., with her husband of 59 years the late Francis E. Miller known to many as Bud', who passed away in 1997. She was a parishioner of the First Methodist Church. Marion was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Francis E. Miller; and her grandson, Jeffrey Lloyd Mott. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan McFadden and her husband Tom of Plattsburgh and her daughter, Ginny Mott and her husband Lloyd of Queensbury. Marion is also survived by her grandchildren, Mark McFadden of Williston, Vt., Elizabeth McFadden-Dubay and her husband Steve of Peru, N.Y., Stephen McFadden of Plattsburgh, Dennis McFadden and wife Joanne of Wilton N.Y., Kathleen McFadden Mast and husband Jon of Milton Vt., Suzanne Mott and Mauri Clark of Glens Falls, Dr. Timothy Mott and his wife Kitsie of Catania Sicily, and Jennifer Goodwin and her husband Jeff of Queensbury; great-grandchildren Ryan, Kelsey, and Emily McFadden, Jack and Thomas Dubay, Miller, Mallory, and Mason Mott, Megan and Emma Goodwin, and Marion Mott-Clark. Her survivors also include her brothers, Lynn King and wife Gabrielle of Deltona, Fla. and Harold King and wife Carole of Richmond Virginia and her sister, Lou Coates and her husband Jack of Schenectady, along with several nieces and nephews. At Marion's request a graveside service will be held in the spring. Memorial donations in Marion's name are suggested to Cystic Fibrosis at Albany Medical Center, 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany N.Y. or High Peaks Hospice, 286 Glen Street, Glens Falls 12801. Arrangements are being handled by Singleton - Healy Funeral Home 407 Bay Road, Queensbury, NY.
