Marion E. Smith CohoesMarion E. Smith, 98, died on Sunday, October 7th at The Eddy Village Green. Marion was born on August 2, 1914 in Clark Mills, NY, a daughter of the late Albert and Lily Hoyland Smith. She was a graduate of Long Island College where she received a master's degree. She taught for the Oceanside Public School District until her retirement in the 1960s when she moved permanently to Laurel Lake in Mattituck, NY. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her siblings, Florence, Herbert, Newton and Ruth. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Marion will be peacefully laid to rest on Saturday, October 13 at 12 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Westmoreland, New York. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
