JEKIELEK, Marilyn Louise R.N.P.H.N. (Smith) - On Monday February 18th 2008, Marilyn passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 81. She is predeceased by her loving husband Walter (1999), and brother Robert Smith (1992), dear and loving mother of Stephen (Paula) and grandmother of Michelle, all of Roanoke VA, Maureen, of Atlanta Georgia and Kristen, of Roanoke, VA. She will be sadly missed by her many relatives, Evelyn Smith, Helen Jekielek, Henry Jekielek (Margie), William Jekielek (Ann), Jodi Jekielek as well as her friend Debbie Baker and many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of St. John's Anglican Church, Coronation Senior Centre, and Alumni of Buffalo General Nurses Association. She served at Niagara Regional Public Health Unit as a Public Health Nurse for seventeen years. Marilyn's family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL OF THE MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Complete funeral service will be held at The Church of St. John the Evangelist, 3428 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11 o'clock in the morning. Private family interment will take place at a later date. In memory of Marilyn, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
