At nightfall on Thursday, September 4, 2003. Marilyn was comforted and supported by her husband Douglas Swan, daughter Wendy MacLaurin, father Carman Morris and sister Lorraine Williams. Marilyn's difficult journey in recent months was shared and greatly eased by the love and caring of her many friends and extended family. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Monday, September 8 at 3 p.m. at Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive. An open reception will follow for friends and family to gather in her memory. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Cancer Research Society.
