Marilyn Eaddy Cox, 51, wife of J.D. Cox, died Sunday, August 31, 2003 at her home.Mrs. Cox was born in Hemingway, S.C., a daugter of the Rev. Harold Eaddy and the late Lila White Eaddy. She was the owner of Cox Insurance Agency, a member of the Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, served as president of the Florence County Underwriters Association and in many other capacities through the years of winning numerous awards and citations. She was a graudate of the Johnsonville High School, the Betty Stevens School of Beauty Culture in Florence and the Life Underwriters Training Council-Fellow (LUTC-F).Surviving are her husband, J.D. Cox of the home; father, the Rev. Harold Eaddy, of Johnsonville; children, Amanda Cox (Clayton) Hunt, of Greenville and Shellie Cox, of Johnsonville; sister, Carolyn (Mike) Taylor, of Johnsonville; grandsons, John Walker Hunt and Anderson Hunt, both of Greenville.Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, Carolinas Chapter, 6512 Six Forks Road, Suite 602-A, Raleigh, NC or Trey's Way, P.O.
