Marie Theresa (Lemieux) Syble, 76, of Lakeland, FL and Canton entered peacefully into the loving arms of the angels on Tuesday (April 19, 2005). She spent her final days surrounded by her three loving daughters and other family members. Marie was born in Hartford, and worked many years for Aetna Life & Casualty where she was well known for her "Sybleisms." Upon retirement she moved to her dream home in Lakeland, FL. Marie dedicated her life to loving her children and gave them all the gift of her love of reading and the feel of the good earth between their fingers. Her library in Heaven will be immense and the gardens will know her gifted green thumb. We know also that she will stroll along the shores of all the oceans of the Heavens with a peaceful smile, and sunshine in her heart as she joins in with the hearts and souls of loved ones gone before her. Though she is gone from the earth she will live in the hearts of her children forever. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandra A. and Charles B. Tebbs, Debra A. and Jeffrey E. Paine, and Barbara J. Armstrong all of Canton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather T. Rouilliard, Jefferson Lord Paine, Allison Frances Hemhauser, and Sarah Elizabeth Hemhauser. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Lucien Syble, and beloved son, Richard F. Armstrong, Jr. She leaves a sister, Grace Bourque of West Hartford; and a brother, Tinome Lemieux of Enfield; as well as a dear and best friend Marge Harten of Rhode Island. Marge has become one of Marie's family. Her family gives many thanks to the devoted staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Hartford Hospital for all their kindness, and endless ways of giving. Thank you to, Donna G, Claire, Carolyn, Jose, Marianne and Erin. Her family also gives thanks for her many, many friends in Florida for all their kindness and support during this difficult time. Theresa so much appreciated every card and e-mail she received and wish she'd had the strength to answer them all. A special thanks to Ron and Louise Bennett for all they've done and continue to do. We so much appreciate you. Mom, "He will raise you up on eagle's wings, make you to shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of His hand. We will celebrate your heroic strength and legacy all the days of our lives. We love you. Sandra Lee, Deb, and Barb. There are no calling hours. A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation, 12 Charter Oak Place, Hartford, CT 06106. Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton has charge of arrangements. Published in the Hartford Courant on 4/24/2005.
