Ames, Marie M. TROY Marie M. Ames, 84, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospice in Troy. Born and raised in Canton, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Alban and Grace Ames. Miss Ames lived and worked in Albany for many years as a caregiver in childcare. Survivors include her sisters, Gertrude Richardson of Canton, and Shirley Burns of Ogdens-burg, N.Y. and a brother, Clifford Ames of Fla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Bernice Ames and three brothers, Richard, Albert and Thomas Ames. Funeral services at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Canton. Contributions in her memory, may be made to the charity of one's choice.
