GOODWIN, Marie Louise July 25, 1915 - November 4, 2010 With sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Marie Louise Goodwin on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Langley Memorial Hospital at the age of 95. She is sorely missed by her husband of almost 70 years, Ross; her children, Lorne Goodwin (Sophie), Glenn Goodwin (Norma), Gail McKeown (Neil) and Colleen Goodwin-Ryan (Mike Ryan), her grandchildren, Yvette, Kent, Kimberly, Christopher, Timothy, Joshua, Kaitlyn and Kristen; her great-grandchildren, Brooke, Jenna, Cameron, Caden, Celina, Nigella and Violet; by members of the Goodwin and McGlinchy clans and many friends. Born in Prince Rupert, BC, July 25, 1915 to Irish immigrants, Hugh and Mary, Marie was almost as proud of her Irish heritage as she was to be a Canadian. Predeceased by siblings, Alice McGlinchy, Hugh McGlinchy, Margaret Innes and Irene Jones, whom she missed dearly, we're sure there is a celebration in heaven welcoming her home. Marie spent most of her adult life in Prince George, BC, raising her family, as an active member of the Catholic Women's League for 50-60 years, contributing to numerous community organizations and loving her piano and her music. Moving with her husband Ross to South Surrey nine years ago to be closer to family, we were blessed with her friendship, many special outings, special occasions and most of all, her wisdom. Her family and friends meant the world to her and we will remember her unconditional love and her innate ability to find goodness in us all. Services will be at The Star of the Sea Church, 1153 Fir Street, White Rock, BC, Friday, November 12 at 1pm.
