Marie-Louise Cox, born in 1959, spouse of Paul Sr, daughter of Karl and Marjorie, mother of Emily, Ryan and Christopher, died on July 29, 2011. Please consult the obituary here:
ROQUE BLUFFS - Marie L. (MacRae) Cox passed away peacefully July 29, 2011, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born Feb. 17, 1959, to parents Karl and Marjorie MacRae. During her lifetime she worked many years at Shop 'n Save, Maine Wild Blueberry Co., Machias, and for several years at Worcester Wreath, Harrington. She made many wonderful friends wherever she worked. She truly enjoyed her friends and family. Marie was a member of and played the piano and organ at Machias Kennebec Baptist Church. For a number of months she has enjoyed fellowship at Larrabee Baptist Church. Marie is survived by her father and stepmother, Joyce; her loving husband, Paul Sr.; a son, Christopher and his fiancee, Christina; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Ethan; a brother, Martin and his wife, Patricia, and their son, Ryan and his wife, Emily; stepchildren, Andrea, Paul Jr. and his fiancee, Joanna Oakes, and Jennifer and her fiance, Stephen King; stepgrandchildren, Derek, Scottie, Hannah, Ben, Adam, Spencer, Noah, Gavin, Chelsea, Katrina and Zachary; father-in-law, Guy Cox and his wife, Hazel; sister-in-law, Linda and her husband, Mark McBrine, and their seven children; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Marie was predeceased by her grandparents; her mother, Marjorie; and her mother-in-law, Angie. Special thanks to her doctors, nurses, technicians and hospice workers who all provided excellent care since her diagnosis. We especially thank Judy Lingley for her caring and compassionate service when needed. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias, where a service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, with Pastor William Holmes officiating. The committal will take place immediately after the chapel ceremony at West Kennebec Cemetery. A reception will be after the committal at Machias Valley Baptist Church, Broadway. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Lafayette Family Cancer Center, Whiting Hill Road, Brewer, ME 04412, where she received wonderful care.
