Marie DeMerchant of Florenceville died on March 22, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Marie was born April 9, 1923 to A. Robert and Louise Lee (Tucker) of Centreville. After high school, she joined the R.C.A.F. and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Marie is survived by her daughter, Susan Snodgrass of Vancouver, son, Stephen Snodgrass and grand daughter, Jessica, of Vancouver, daughter, Sandy Klein, and grand daughter, Stephanie, of Florenceville, and sister, Pat Crouse, of Centerville. She was predeceased by her parents, first husband, Gordon Snodgrass of Saint John and second husband, Arthur DeMerchant of Florenceville. Marie will best be remembered for her love of gardening, books and her cats. At her request there will be no viewing or funeral service. Burial service will be conducted at a later date.
