Marie L. Whelan, 72, of Stony Point, died April 17, 2013.She was born Aug. 11, 1940, in Queens to parents Michael and Victoria Lombardo, according to Scarr Funeral Home, which handled her funeral arrangements and published her obituary.She was retired from New York Telephone in the Bronx.Survivors include three children, Thomas of Hillburn, Kellie of Stony Point and Lynda and her husband, Dean Tortorello, of Stony Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, who died in 2006.Her funeral took place April 20 at Scarr Funeral Home on Route 202 in Suffern.
