Marie Jackson-Reid, 50, died July 9, 2011, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, Fort Pierce. She was born in Avon Park and lived in Fort Pierce for 50 years, coming from Avon Park. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant in the nursing field. She was a member of House of God, Oslo. Survivors include her son, Sylvester Reid Jr. of Fort Pierce; daughters, Victoria Reid, Betsie Reid and Melissa Hunter, all of Fort Pierce; brother, Jene Jackson of Fort Pierce; sisters, Betty McDaniel and Ruby Noble, both of Fort Pierce; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Allen Jackson; and brothers, Dave Jackson, Alvin Jackson and Ronnie Jackson; grandfather, Charlie Jackson; and grandmother, Betsie Jackson. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. July 15 and from 9 a.m. to noon July 16 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel.
