COALING Marie Evelyn Jennings, age 86, of Coaling, died Nov. 9, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her husband, Major B. Jennings; sisters, Maude Lillian Colburn and Mertie Lee Aldrich; brothers, James Kizziah and Leon Kizziah; and parents, Usary and Ethel Kizziah.Survivors include his daughters, Helen Jones of Coaling, Virginia Sanford (Kenny) of Coaling, Jerri Kizziah (Frank) of Marco Island, Fla. and Cathy Hoggle (Scott) of Coaling; sister, Patsy Ledbetter; brothers, Rachel Kizziah and Rosell Kizziah; grandchildren, Jeff Jones, Stacy Barnes, Dustin Kizziah, Hannah Hoggle and Tyler Hoggle; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Jones, Xander Jones, Sarah Barnes, Olivia Barnes, Preston Barnes, Logan Kizziah and Dawson Kizziah.Mama was the glue of our family. She loved life itself, working in her yard and Alabama football. We hope we can carry on her legacy and zest for life as she has taught us. Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was beyond measure. Known as "Banny" to most, she will be greatly missed.Special thanks to all past patrons of the Sunshine Factory for all the conversations Mama loved so much and the kindness you always showed her.
