Marie Eleanor Johnson, 80, Venice, died Aug. 7, 2002. She was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Somerville, Mass., and came to Venice in 1981 from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She retired in 1981 from the Foreign Service, Department of State, Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Survivors include sisters Ethel Corliss of Weymouth, Mass., and Elsie Whitman of Abington, Mass.; and brothers Roy E. of Weymouth, Arthur of Southboro, Mass., Earl of Bridgewater, Mass., and Harold of Rockland, Mass. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge.
