November 22, 2008 Marie E. Williams, 70, of Pennellville, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Saturday. Born in Clay, Marie retired from General Electric, where she was a member of IUE Local 320 and a member of Phoenix Chapter 172 Eastern Star. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, LaVern; children, Vern (Cindy) Williams Jr. of Pennellville, Linda Williams of Clay, Heidi Williams of Clay, Michael (Carol) Williams of Palermo, Irene (Bruce) Jones of Pennellville, Mark (Mary) Williams of Pulaski and Madison (Brett) Williams of Syracuse; 13 grandchildren; and her "adopted" daughter, Rita Godfrey of Palermo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery.
