HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Marie "Molly" Elmozine Davis of Haines City died Monday (July 18, 2005) of complications following a stroke at Haines City Health Care Center. She was 94.Born on Feb. 13, 1911, in St. James, Jamaica, Mrs. Davis came to Haines City from there 40 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Mount Zion M.B. Church, where she sang in the choir.Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Davis. She is survived by her sons; Ivan Dowe, Haines City, Audley Dowe, Miami, Burnell Thompson, the Bronx, N.Y.; daughters, Eucille Scott, Haines City, Hazel Edwards, Toronto, Canada; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Holmes Funeral Home, 601 Claude Holmes Sr. Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parkview Christian Center, 3520 Baker Road, Haines City. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
