Marie Charmaine Godwin, 79, passed away on June 23, 2008, at Samantha Wilson Nursing Home, St. Augustine. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. Marie was a wonderful kindergarten teacher in Fort Myers, Fla., prior to her retirement. Following that, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world, taking part in church activities and volunteering for the American Cancer Society. Marie was a kind and generous person. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and always had a smile for all. She moved to St. Augustine in 2005 to be closer to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Godwin. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Patti Godwin, Boca Raton, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Eddie Kazmierski, St. Augustine; five grandchildren; brother and sister- in-law, Charles and June Berry, Jacksonville, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Jim Conzemius, St. Augustine; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation and prayer service was held on June 25, 2008, at Craig Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on June 26, 2008, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla., with the Rev.
