Marie A. R. Williams Marie Antoinette Rutherford Williams, 52, a home-schooling mother, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004. She is survived by her adoring husband, the Rev. Ivey L. Williams III. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Christian Heritage Church in Tallahassee, with burial at St. Peter Cemetery in Woodville.Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. EDT Friday at the chapel of Strong & Jones Funeral Home (850-224-2139). From the day of her salvation, Marie's first love was the Lord Jesus, and she had a deep desire to know him intimately. As a result, she devoted much of her time to digging deep into the study of the word of God. Out of this passion, she shared what she learned with others.Over the years, she was instrumental in starting several community Bible studies and prayer groups. Marie was credentialed the International Pentecostal Holiness Church as a licensed minister. She was ordained in the Redeemed Christian Church of God as an assistant pastor, and served with her husband at the International Chapel in Tallahassee.She also served as coordinator of the Area-Wide Intercessory Prayer Network (AWIPN), urging all to hear "The Clarion Call" of Jesus approaching the city. Other survivors include five beautiful daughters, Anna N. Rutherford, Lizetta W. Payne, Johana-Marie E. L. Williams, Ivy Victoria S. Williams and Rose E. Williams; two adopted daughters, Theodora W. Rowan (and husband Warren) and Hannah U. Abedokun (and husband Samuel); an adopted granddaughter, Myowa Adedokun; an adopted son, Zachary R. Rinkins; several godchildren, including Elisha Williams, Janet Jefferson, Tremaine Miller and David Maja; two lovely sisters, Inez C. Stafford (and husband William) and Mary C. R. Ard'is (and husband H. Dez); a brother, Micheal J. Rutherford (and wife Patricia); a stepmother, Louise C. Rutherford; two loving in-laws, Ivey Jr. and Bertha Williams; two brothers-in-law, Robert D. (and wife Gladys Jean) and Gary S. (and wife Jeni); and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, as well as countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
