Marie A. (Cantalupo) Goodwin, a lifelong Weymouth resident, passed away at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in No. Attleboro, Monday, Aug. 13, 2012. She was 84 years of age. Beloved daughter of the late Albert and Emma (Grande) Cantalupo; and wife of the late Stephen Goodwin; she is survived by her loving nieces, Louise Flood of No. Attleboro and Ann Marie Steinkrauss of Quincy; her nephew, John Cantalupo of CA; her stepsons, Jonathan and Stephen Goodwin; sister-in-law, Lorraine Cantalupo; and she was the loving sister of the late John Cantalupo of North Weymouth. Marie was a graduate of Weymouth High School and a retired insurance underwriter for Royal Globe Insurance in Boston. She was a voracious reader and student of history and was also past president and enthusiastic volunteer of the Friends of South Shore Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in the East Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, corner Middle and Charles Sts., Friday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow in the Immaculate Conception Church at 9 and burial in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
