Marian Beatrice Davis, 77, of Summit died on Oct. 30, 2010 in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wallace Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Summit. Viewing is on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by the Judkins Colonial Home. Condolences can be submitted to www.judkinscolonialhome.com. Born in Cape May Courthouse, N.J., Ms. Davis lived there before moving to Summit. She was an elementary school teacher at the Far Brook School in Short Hills, N.J., for 33 years. Ms. Davis was a member of the Wallace Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church for over 50 years and of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Surviving are her sons, Kevin A, Darrin B. (Sharon), Brian G. (Sonora), and Gregory M. Davis; brothers, Fred (Edith) and Larry Spaulding, and sisters, Cora Clark (Bill), Louella Jones, Angie, Delores (Henry), and Beverly (Tom) Spaulding, and a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lonnie Davis, former police chief of Summit. In lieu of flowers, please make donations for the Summit First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 234, Summit, N.J. 07902-0234.
