Marguerite Quinn, born in 1930, spouse of James Quinn, daughter of Edward and Marguerite, died on March 12, 2012. Please consult the obituary here:
East Lyme - Marguerite (Griffin) Quinn, of East Lyme, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2012, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, in the presence of her loving family. Marge was born in Waterbury, on Aug. 2, 1930, to parents Marguerite and Edward Griffin. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's College and held a master's degree in nursing from Yale University. She worked as a school nurse at Crosby High School in Waterbury for many years before moving to East Lyme in 1978. She became a real estate broker and worked in real estate until she retired in 1997. Marge was survived by her husband of more than 54 years, James "Jim" K. Quinn. She leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, James "Jay" K. Quinn Jr. and Joan (Constantine) Quinn of Gales Ferry; a daughter, Kris of Cheshire; five grandchildren, Keith and Zachary Plimpton and Kelsey, Caitlin, and Conor Ferguson.She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Ferguson. Marge was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She will always be remembered as a kind and generous person who cherished her family and friends enormously. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 13, at St. Matthias Church, 317 Chesterfield Road, East Lyme. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, River Road, Old Mystic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405, (203) 315-7575. Sisk Brothers Funeral Home is assisting the family.
