ObituaryMarguerite J. Williams, also known as "Gangy", entered into the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2006. She was born on December 8, 1918 in Cairo, Georgia to Tim E. and Dollie Jones and had one brother, R.W. Jones, who is now deceased. She married Jack A. Williams on January 11, 1941 and had two sons, Ronald Jack and Dennis Edward. Marguerite retired as the Head Cashier of Patient Accounts at Lee Memorial Hospital on April 27, 1984 after 23 years of employment. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Ft. Myers for 45 years where she held different positions such as the chairman of the Soup Kitchen Ministry Committee, Worship Teller, Worship Greeter, and was well-known for being on the Flower Committee where she made beautiful flower arrangements. Marguerite was also a member of the Plumosa Garden Club of Ft. Myers, the Collector's Club, and was a volunteer for Lee Memorial Hospital and the American Cancer Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all. Her deep religious spirit was contagious and she always wanted to be near her church family and friends. "Gangy" was the matriarch of the Williams' family and was always the cheerleader and the peacemaker within the family. She loved everyone with her whole heart and always had a kind word to everyone she encountered along her path. Her commitment to her family, her church, and her friends was passionate. "Gangy" loved to surround herself with beautiful things- her love of nature was shown by her beautiful flower arrangements, her love of antiques was seen within her home, her love for the Florida State Seminoles was indescribable, and her love for her grandchildren were scattered throughout her entire home in pictures. Even on a gloomy day, she was the sunshine that brought love, happiness, and peace to all. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her beloved granddaughter, Leanna Rose Williams.Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack of Ft. Myers, her sons Ron and wife, Linda of Lakeland, FL and Dennis and wife, Vivian of Asheville, North Carolina, 3 grandchildren; Trina Reisch and husband, Scott of Denver, Colorado, Summer Brannen and husband, Thomas of Lakeland, FL, and Salena Masaood and husband, Humaid of Tampa, Fl, 3 Great-Grandchildren- Savannah Brannen of Lakeland, FL, Khalifa Masaood of Tampa, FL, and Samuel Reisch of Denver, Colorado, 2 step great-grandchildren- Jonathan and Caroline Reisch of Denver Colorado, 4 nephews- Randall Jones and wife, Helen of Cairo, Georgia, Ralph Jones and wife, Sharon of Bainbridge Georgia, Timmy Jones and wife, Karen of Cairo, Georgia, and Todd Jones and wife, Danielle of Cairo, Georgia not to mention a host of great-nieces and nephews, and friends.Her visitation will be on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Ft. Myers, 1735 Jackson St., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at the church, followed by the graveside services at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens, followed by a gathering at the church for family and friends.In her memory, memorial contributions can be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft, Myers, FL 33908 or to First Baptist Church of Ft.
