Obituary of Marguerite-Elizabeth-White Jackson


JACKSON Marguerite Elizabeth White Jackson, passed away on March 9, 2013 in Midlothian, Va. She was born on August 20, 1919 in Portsmouth, Va., the daughter of Walter Cleveland White and Pearl Matilda Winborne. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Jackson, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Jackson Scovronski; and her granddaughter, Janis Elizabeth Scovronski both of Richmond, Va.; her sister, June White Hazelwood of Naples, Fla.; her niece, Jeri Hazelwood Borchers; and Marguerite s special friends, Michael Scovronski, Robert Quicke, Daisy Mae and Mango. Marguerite and her husband spent many years in Jacksonville with CSX Railroad and moved back to Virginia in 2000. She had a great fondness for jigsaw puzzles and crocheting baby blankets and doilies. Most especially she was a very loving person who had a ready smile for everyone. Marguerite was a member of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society United States Daughters of 1812 and United Daughters of the Confederacy. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Morningside Assisted Living at Bellgrade and Odyssey Hospice. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Va. at a later date.
