Obituary of Marguerite-B. Davis


DAVIS, Marguerite B., age 97, of Spring Hill, Fla., died October 17, 2003 at the home of her son, Paul Davis II in Gettysburg, Pa. She was born July 23, 1906 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of the late Arthur and G. Maude Douglas Boynton. Her husband, Col. Paul V. Davis, MD, USAF (Ret) died in 1993. She was a member of the First Spring Hill Baptist Church in Spring Hill. She was a graduate of Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing in Quincy, Mass. She was an RN assisting her husband in his medical practice in Bridgton, Maine before and after World War II. She also worked with the Red Cross and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her son, Paul V. Davis II of Gettysburg, Pa.; her daughter, Marjorie Goodson of Whitfield, N.H.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, 1865 Knoxlyn Rod., Gettysburg, Pa. with Rev. Dale Williams officiating. Graveside Serv ices and interment will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Annex, Bridgton, Maine. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, 1865 Knoxlyn Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, Pa., 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA 17325, 717-334-2414.
