Mrs. Margarett Ellen (Elliott) Kent, age 76, of Bob White Lane, Loganville, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Emory Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery in Marble Hill. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Kent was born in Hall County to the late Robert E. Elliott and Minnie Pearl (Craig) Elliott. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Kent was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Furman T. Kent; daughter, Martha Ann Pittman; and a son, Danny Lee Edge. Mrs. Kent is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Burek, Cumming, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Morris, Loganville; sons, Phil Goforth, Loganville, Michael Goforth, Gainesville, and Ernest Goforth of Atlanta; sisters, Nellie Baldridge, Dalton, and Idahue Grindle, Gainesville; and a host of other family and friends also survive.
