WATERVLIET Margaret McGuire Williams, 80, of Watervliet, died Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in Albany. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Frederick McGuire and Mary Danks Halliday and stepdaughter of the late George Halliday. Mrs. Williams had resided in Maplewood for 17 years, Cohoes for 20 years, then Grafton for 10 years before moving to Watervliet in 2000. A homemaker, she had been employed by the former Jean's Ready to Eat in Watervliet in the 1960s and then in the cafeteria of the Cohoes School District for 17 years. Survivors include her beloved husband, Richard S. Williams; and two nieces, Mary Lou Potts of Cohoes and Kathleen Surprise of Grafton. Margaret was predeceased by her brother, Robert McGuire. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110 in memory of Margaret Williams.
