Margaret Garrison Age 85, of 125 Wayne Drive, Lynchburg, Virginia died on Sat. Aug. 31, 2002. She was born August 16.1917 in Big Flats, New York. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Edith Freeman Garrison. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reuben W. Cummings, son Robert W. Cummings, grandson Vernon O. Cummings, four (4) sisters and two (2) brothers. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Harold E. White. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Horace Garrison, wife Jean, Lynchburg, Virginia; six (6) children and their spouses, Lynn Cummings, wife Darla, Melvin Cummings, wife Camille, Richard Cummings, wife Nancy, Douglas Cummings, wife Linda, Linda Neumire, husband Fran, Joan Sullivan, husband Robert, twenty (20) grand children, thirty- two (32) great grand children, several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 So. Main St., Horseheads on Thursday Sept. 5, 2002 from 1-2:00 p.m. Her funeral service will follow there at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Scotchtown Cemetery, Erin, New York. Services will be conducted at the funeral home and graveside, rev. Gilbert Brightsen officiating. A memorial service will be held at Thomas Road Baptist Church on Tues. Sept. 10, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pate Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Harbin, Rev. David Heerspink and Rev. Roy Newman.
