Margaret Washington, 82, Palmetto, died July 25, 2006. She was born May 17, 1924, in Archer and came to Palmetto in 1939. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John First Baptist Institutional Church. Survivors include sons Bernard and Tom III; sisters-in-law Willie Lee Buggs, Vasti Bethel and Minnie Pearl; a brother Leroy Simpkins; a brother-in-law Roosevelt; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Westside Funeral Home in Palmetto. The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John First Baptist Institutional Church in Palmetto. Burial will be at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton.
