SYNOTT _ Margaret (Peggy) Isabel February 21, 1922 - July 18, 2008 Margaret (Peggy) Isabel Synott, beloved wife of Jim Griffith of Priddis, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Peggy was born in 1922 in Owen Sound, ON and was predeceased by Edgar Synott, her husband of thirty-five years. She and Eddie moved to Calgary in 1943 from Collingwood, ON. Eddie set up his welding business with Peggy assisting him over the years. Peggy married Jim in 1981 and had a great life for twenty-seven years, going between the city and the farm. She enjoyed a long happy life filled with traveling, clogging, square dancing, and bridge. Peggy loved curling and was one of the founding members of the Calgary Winter Club. Peggy leaves behind her son Larry (Emilie); her daughters, Darla (Graham) Clarke of BC, and Janice (Haig) Vejprava; her grandchildren, Chad (Carrie) and Darrin Synott, Kerry, Marlea and Shannon Clarke, Josh, Tyler and Brody Vejprava; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Chantelle and Mason Synott. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
