Verity, Margaret (Segers) SARATOGA SPRINGS Margaret "Peg" Segers Verity, 83, wife of the late Harold W. Verity Jr. and daughter of the late Louis and Louise Segers, died on Monday, May 14, 2007 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. after a lengthy illness. Born in Wilton, Conn., she attended Wilton and New Canaan schools. In 1944, she joined the Navy (Waves) and served at the submarine base in New London, Conn. She lived in Norwalk and Wilton while working at Guard AJ Chemical in Norwalk for 26 years. Later, she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Weston, Conn. and then Ballston Spa, N.Y. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Verity Rixman; son-in-law Stuart Rixman; grand-son, Michael Rixman and grand-daughter Kimberly Rixman. Other surviving family members are two sisters, Marion Hamm and Josephine Hamm; two brothers, Henric Segers and Peter Segers; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in West Norwalk, Conn. at a later date. Friends may call Janice Rixman at 518-461-5941.
