<!-- FH = Florida Memorial Funeral Home -->Margaret Peterson, 94, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at The Place on Merritt Island. Margaret was born in Greenback, TN and moved to Merritt Island in 1947. She worked for 43 years at MacMillan Buchanan Insurance Agency in Cocoa. She was a gracious hostess who had countless friends and relatives visit her home through the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurie Peterson. Margaret is survived by her nephews, Philip, Gary, and Tim Greenway; sister, Linda Cook; and special friends, Betsy Teaver and Charlie Robinson. The family is especially grateful to the wonderful staff at The Place for their care and support over the last three years. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, with interment following at Florida Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Morganton Cemetery Fund, 1361 Cabe Rd., Greenback, TN 37742.
