MORRIS--Margaret Wager, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2011. She was born on October 5, 1918 and grew up in Far Rockaway. After high school she attended Cooper Union as a fine arts major, from which she graduated in 1939. She met her husband, the late David Lionel Morris, at Cooper Union and together with him raised a family in Great Neck, NY, where they resided for many years. She is survived by her twin daughters and their husbands, Susan and Stephen Butterfass of Croton-on-Hudson, and Marion and Martin Bush of White Plains, and a son and his wife Richard and Vicki Morris of Ringoes, NJ. She was a devoted grandmother to Alexandra, Alison, Ariel, Dionne and Tamara; and great-grandmother to twins Athen and Geordy. She will be very fondly remembered and missed by her many friends as well. Marge was a great lover of the outdoors. She skied in the winter and hiked in the other seasons. She had a lifelong love for gardening, bird watching and, in particular, collecting, identifying and lecturing about edible wild plants and mushrooms. For many years she was a member and executive officer of the New York Mycological Society and other groups devoted to preserving nature. Donations in her memory can be made to The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
