MORRIS--Margaret Wager, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2011. She was born on October 5, 1918 and grew up in Far Rockaway. After high school she attended Cooper Union as a fine arts major, from which she graduated in 1939. She met her husband, the late David Lionel Morris, at Cooper Union and together with him raised a family in Great Neck, NY, where they resided for many years. She is survived by her twin daughters and their husbands, Susan and Stephen Butterfass of Croton-on-Hudson, and Marion and Martin Bush of White Plains, and a son and his wife Richard and Vicki Morris of Ringoes, NJ. She was a devoted grandmother to Alexandra, Alison, Ariel, Dionne and Tamara; and great-grandmother to twins Athen and Geordy. She will be very fondly remembered and missed by her many friends as well. Marge was a great lover of the outdoors. She skied in the winter and hiked in the other seasons. She had a lifelong love for gardening, bird watching and, in particular, collecting, identifying and lecturing about edible wild plants and mushrooms. For many years she was a member and executive officer of the New York Mycological Society and other groups devoted to preserving nature.
