Margaret McGhee, age 90, of West Frankfort, died April 10, 2008 at 8:30 p.m. at the Westside Care Center. She was born March 4, 1918 in West Frankfort to Pete Costantino and Minnie ( Paglia) Costantino. She married John W. McGhee on June 11, 1946 in West Frankfort. Blessed by the birth of a son, William Peter McGhee on June 21, 1956. He was ordained a Catholic Priest June 5, 1982. Margaret worked 17 years for the Smith-Alsop Paint Co. at their West Frankfort paint and wallpaper store. Survivors include her husband, John McGhee of West Frankfort; son, Monsignor Bill McGhee of Belleville, Il.; also surviving are several sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Wendell and Marie Moutray and a niece, Dolores Moutray. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at the St. John's Catholic Church in West Frankfort with Monsignor Bill McGhee and Father Trevor Murry officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Monday morning to the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort. A rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. on Monday at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Catholic School and will be accepted at the funeral home.
